Love Me Tender, Love Me Queer

Love is never just personal. Love Me Tender, Love Me Queer is an exploration of queer love in its many forms: as political defiance, as the foundation for community, as a celebration of plurality, and as a practice of freedom. Through a multigenerational lens, this book puts in dialogue interview fragments from queer individuals living in Vienna with reflections by artists and writers from different geographical locations and theoretical positionings. Featuring contributions from Lukas Avendaño, Ema Benciková, Denice Bourbon, Ruthia Jenrbekova, Oratile Papi Konopi, Shaunak Mahbubani, Koleka Putuma, Sayak Valencia and Mutsuo Takahashi. It celebrates lives beyond norms and binaries, honoring the battles that have been fought for also in the streets. It asks how love shapes us - and how we, in turn, shape love.
